105 years ago today, the Hammer and Sickle emblem was created.

“On April 25, 1918, the artist Yevgeny Ivanovich Kamzolkin first created the emblem "HAMMER AND SICKLE" The idea of a crossed hammer and sickle, their arrangement came to the artist of the Zamoskvoretsky Theater of the Council of Workers' and Peasants' Deputies E. I. Kamzolkin, when in April 1918 he worked on the design for the May Day holiday. The crossed sickle and hammer symbolically symbolized the unity of workers and peasants in their peaceful creative work. Together with the red star, the hammer and sickle appeared on the flag and coat of arms of the USSR in 1923, and in 1924 the symbol was written into the Constitution of the USSR. The hammer and sickle was also placed on the flags and emblems of the Soviet republics.”

Friends, comrades, family! Tomorrow is the most joyful holiday: May 1. The holiday of the workers.
No other day on the calendar deserves more respect because it OUR holiday. A holiday shared between all countries.
It is also a day to remember that no matter where we live, we are all oppressed and exploited by the same enemy: the capitalist class.
We must remember it is the capitalist class that forces our friends to die on foreign soil defending corporate profits. These leaches steal our brothers' wages; they poison our families with toxic products; they embezzle money, causing water pollution and collapsing infrastructure.
We must remember that we workers do not own our countries - we don't have a homeland. We are born and immediately tattooed with a bar code that determines which government we will work for and die for.
We must remember there can be no peace until the workers are class-conscious and organized. Only then can we force peace on the barons. Only then can we put an end to their murderous wars.
