A rare Bolshevik recruiting poster for the Red Army from the height of the Russian Civil War. This poster, probably by Kogout, shows a Red soldier pointing at a vast Red Army marching to the front. Recruiting was a crisis for the Soviets in June of 1920. It prompted the distribution of Dimitri Moor's famous Soviet variation of the I Want You poster of Uncle Sam, which proved to be equally successful in shaming men into joining up. This poster was created shortly after Moor's poster and echoed the appeal to join in.
