Middle East Eye on Instagram: "Social media users are sending tributes, prayers and messages of condolences to the family and friends of 19-year-old vlogger Mohammed “Medo” Halimy, after he was killed in Gaza. Known for documenting daily life under Israeli bombardment, Halimy shared videos of living in a tent, facing food and water shortages, and starting a planting project which he described as an act of “resistance". The 19-year-old was injured by shrapnel while with friends on the beach in Gaza during an Israeli airstrike on 26 August, causing him to fall into a coma and later die from his injuries."
